I was awakened to my phone ringing. I groan, and grab it from my night stand. It was by boyfriend.

Rude ass awakening.

I answer it. "Hello?" I say in my morning voice.

"I'm picking you up this morning."

"Okay lemme get dressed love you."

"Love you too."

I hung up, and sat up and stretched. I looked next to me to see Mateo sleeping. I gently tap him. "Teo."

With him not waking up, I shook him harder. "Mateo."

He looked at me. "What?"

This is the first time I'm actually hearing his morning voice. I like it😍.

"Uhm can you say my name real quick?"

He turned to go back to sleep.

"No, you can't sleep. School. You gotta get home before you be late."

He sucked his teeth, and sat up. "Bye bestfriend."

I gave him a warm smile. "Bye bestfriend."

He put on his shoes, and left my room.

I get up, take a shower, and put on ripped leggings, and white crop top, and Jordan 9 Cool Grey. I then put on a tight black leather jacket with grey sleeves over my white shirt,

I just put on earrings, and I grab my backpack and go downstairs to see my mom walking towards the door. She smiled at me. "I'll see you later okay?"

I nod, smiling back. "Okay, love you."

"Love you too." She said leaving the house.

I was about to sit down on the couch, for myself to hear a car honking. I sigh.

I leave out the house, and into Calvin's BMW. It's his first car. I don't even have a car yet. And he asks me for money when this car could convert into a convertible.

He looked at me. "Who you dressing sexy for?"

I can't depict weather that was an insult, or a compliment.

"Myself." I shiny smile.

"Wanna skip school?"

I shake my head. "There's a test today."

He shrugged. "So? You could just take it tomorrow. Oh. And here are your $200 back." He smiled, handing me money. I put it in my backpack. "Take me to school Calvin." I growl, now growing serious.

"Come on bae. You're boring. Who would wanna leave this car for school? When you could be in it all day."

I sigh, growing frustrated. "That's nice to know Calvin, but I would like to get to school."

He sucked his teeth. "You're boring as fuck."

I glare at him, and exit the car. "Hopefully, I didn't miss the school bus."

"Bae where you goin'?"

"To school." I spat. I began to walk down the block. He slowly drove next to me, at my pace. "Come on Moni. Just a day. Maybe I'll give you a lil' surprise later."

"How many times, do I have to say. I don't want to lose my virginity right now!" I yell. I am ready don't get me wrong, but I don't want to have sex with him. It would just be sex. Not making love. When I lose my virginity, I wanna make sure that I'm making love to a person. Not just "sex"

He chuckled. "You know what? Bye." He pulled off.

I turned the block, to see Mateo going into his moms car.

He looked at me. He said something to his mom, and left the car walking towards me. "Aye Moni. What's wrong?"

We walked down the block together.

"Calvin. He's being a fucking. Dickhead." I choke out in anger.

He patted my shoulder. "It's alright."

I sigh. "He wanted me to skip school with him."

He grew surprised. "On a test day?"

"Exactly! Like, who would wanna miss a test day!?"

He smirked. "What else?"

"He said I'm boring. I'm not boring.....am I?"

"Well......n-no."

I groan. "Ughhh. It's like you failed at trying to be nice."

"Well sorry."

I rolled my eyes. "I don't get how I'm boring."

"Well, you just gotta have some more fun. Go out more. Maybe your boyfriend wants to do some fun shit with you."

I sigh. "Maybe your right. He is the wild type. But that's what I'm afraid of."

"What?"

"For him to cheat on me. Football players cheat right?"

He shook his head. "Not all."

We were silent for a minute, until Mateo broke the silence. "How does it feel to be boring?"

I blew a raspberry. "Shut up."

"No forreal. I wanna know how it feels."

"Shut the fuck up!" I laugh. "It's nothing really. Just sit down."

"Boring ass."

I smacked his back. "Fuck off. Mushroom head."

"You haven't called me that in years." He chuckled.

"And Imma call you it again zero."

"That used to be my favorite movie. I'm pissed that they took it off Netflix."

I smile. "Ha, Firestick gang."

"I'm getting one so don't get too excited."

I grin. "Alright."

We walked into the school vicinity. "Aye mushroom head. Your girlfriend." I smile.

He looked to see his girlfriend walking towards him. With her purse, Rolex, and expensive heals.

He sighed. "I'll see you later."

I nod. "Bye."

He walked towards his girlfriend, and hugged her. He turned the hug, where he was looking at me, and her back was faced in my direction. He rolled rolled his eyes causing for me to laugh. He's annoying.

I turned to walk, to see a boy. He looked new. He was alone, and sitting on the bench. It was as if he were nervous to even go inside school. I have to admit. He is cute. But give it enough time, he'll be a popular school basketball player in no time. I sit next to him on the bench.

I smile, and hold my hand out for him to shake. "Harmony."

He looked at me, and shook my hand. "Jayden."

"Are you new?"

He nodded. "Yea. My dad gotta business promotion."

"Oh ok. You want me to show you to the office?"

He nodded. "Sure."

We both got up, and went inside. People can be popular in different ways. Rudeness, clothing wise, who you know, and generosity. I'm popular for my generosity.

I walked him to the office, and the principal told him to go into the office. I wave. "Hopefully some same classes right?"

He nodded. "Bye, Heaven?"

I smile. "Harmony."

He nodded. "Alright. I like your eyes."

"Thank you." I wave, walking out of he office.

I walk to my locker. This guy comes up to me. I gave him a friendly smile. "May I help you?

"Hey. Is your name Harmony?"

I nod. "Yep."

"Well, I wanted to say that you're very pretty."

"Thank you."

"Aye nigga. Who is you?"

I turn to see Calvin.

"Calvin be nice." I sigh.

That guy looked at him. "No hard feelings bro I'm jus' talkin' to a girl."

Calvin got in him face. "Yea. My girl." He spat.

The guy pushed him. "I didn't know nigga. You ain't have to get in my face."

Calvin swung, and punch the guy across the face. I gasped, and people around the hallways stood in shock. Some began to take out their phones.

"Don't record! Please!" I yell.

Calvin then tacked him to the ground, and they continued to fight with it turning vicious. People were now recording with there being a crowd.

I couldn't watch. I just hate it when people argue, fight, or anything with someone, or something harming others, or each other.

"Calvin stop!" I yell.

Calvin continued punching that guy continuously in the face. That guy most likely was knocked out by the way his head just swung from side to side. Security then arrived, while teachers told everyone to get to class. They yanked Calvin off of him, and escorted him downstairs.

Teachers, and other security guards helped that other guy up. I went up to him. "I'm so so sorry."

His eyes were swollen, he had some blood dripping from his mouth, and he had a bloody nose.

"Im so sorry about him. Do you want me to help?"

He shook his head. "No. I would get beat up again."

I looked down.

"Just stay away from me please." He said. He walked away with the nurse.

Why would Calvin do that?"

Ughhhhhh.

I feel myself beginning to cry. I just don't like violence. I feel someone rub my back.

I look to see Jayden.

"Who was that?"

I sniff, wiping my tears. "My boyfriend beat up an innocent boy. For just talking to me."

"I'm sorry. He's that overprotective type right?"

I nod. "Yes. I can't talk to any boys, without him confronting them. That's what gets me nervous because my bestfriend is a boy. I don't want him to fight my boyfriend."

He nodded. "My ex was the same way. Any girl I talked to, she would flip out. But she also didn't trust me. Which made me break up with her."

I get the rest of my things from my locker, and close it. I look up at him. "What class do you have first?"

"Sex Ed." He rolled his eyes. "I think classes like that are just weird. I'm not even a virgin, and I think it's weird."

I smile. "Well, I have that class too. You get to fall asleep in that so that's even better."

He chuckled. "Cool."

Lunch

Jayden sat next to me, while Mateo sat across. Mateo smirked. "How the fight start? I wasn't even there. I was in the gym playing basketball."

Jayden chuckled. "I play basketball."

What I say?

"Are you on a team?" Mateo asked opened a bag of chips.

He shook his head. "Not anymore. I just moved."

"Oh....its yo' first day here?"

Jayden nodded. "Yea."

Months went by, and two became three. Jayden became a very good friend to the both of us.
